Still stuck on what to get dad for Father’s Day? I’ve got an idea for you.
Try a Grand Band money clip. They come in your choice of stainless steel or sterling silver, and there are eight different designs to choose from. Most plates can be engraved so you can make sure that your gift is personal, original and meaningful.
Whether Dad is a golfer, banker, teacher, doctor or anything else, he still needs something to hold his cash, credit or business cards together. The Grand Band is the perfect accessory to hold everything. Wallets can sometimes be bulky to carry around in your pocket all day long, so the Grand Band is a sleek new alternative to the wallet.
Father’s Day is on June 17th this year. And, if you take a look at your calendar, you will notice that it is only several weeks away. That means you need to dust off the old idea box lying dormant between your ears and fire it into overdrive if you’re going to find a way to show your dad just how much you appreciate him in time for the occasion. But, don’t worry, because we here at Executive Essentials have a goldmine of ideas that we are willing to share with you over the course of the next few weeks.
Now according to research done by the people that love numbers, it turns out that more phone calls are made and more gifts are given on Mother’s Day than Father’s Day. Unfortunately, the people with all the numbers don’t bother to tell us why it is this way. Do Mother’s just love gifts more? Are they easier to buy gifts for? Do we love them more? I would assume that the answer in most cases is no. Or at least not so much more than we actually buy a gift for one parent and not the other. Regardless, let’s all get together and raise the numbers and give Mother’s Day a run for their money! (who says that?)
Here at Executive Essentials, we have a great line-up of gifts in all price ranges and categories to give to the special dad in your life. From briefcases to inexpensive pens, we have you covered. So make sure you check out what we have below and also come back to see what we outline in future posts leading up to the big Sunday on the 17th of June.
Father’s Day Pens
I’m going to get into this in more detail in coming posts, so check back, but in general, a pen is a great gift for a dad. With so many brands, types and price ranges to choose from you won’t have a hard time finding one that is perfect for that dad in your life. We will, however, have a hard time figuring out what kinds to showcase and talk about.
To get you started, I’d take a look at Retro 51 for that goofy dad in your life, Montblanc for that sophisticated father who hangs out in his den all day, perhaps a nice Fisher for a father on the go, and check out Krone Pens for the dad who literally has everything. (Don’t be afraid to request a price!)
Father’s Day Briefcase
Sacks, satchels, cases, bags, duffels, briefcases. It doesn’t matter what he uses, we just know that dad has stuff to carry around. If your dad doesn’t have any baggage at this point in his life, it’s time you gave him some. And we have some of the nicest briefcases on the internet at prices that are hard to imagine.
Does your old man do a lot of traveling to and fro? Get him a nice TSA approved briefcase from Tumi. Is he a bit more rugged, but still likes to travel in style? How about a nice leather briefcase from Passage 2, with its Indiana Jones-esque appearance. Is your father an international man of mystery? Well, make him feel like one with an attaché case from ZERO Halliburton. Finally, is he a jack-of –all-trades kind of guy? Then just look through the extensive collection of briefcases and decide for yourself. He’ll be happy with any of them, rest assured.
For other great ideas, try looking at our collection of wallets, desk accessories, and leather goods. With such a wide selection, you’re bound to find something that your father will cherish for years. Happy hunting.
Remember a few weeks ago when you were scrambling around trying to find the perfect gift for Mother’s Day? Remember when you waited to the last minute to find just the right gift? Take those bad memories and transform them into action! Take the tomorrow of your to-do list and get your Father’s Day gift shopping done today. Now.

In fact, taking a look around from top to bottom, it’s clear that we have a little something for every type of father out there. So this year, instead of making a hand written pack of coupons for car washes and garage cleanings, try your hand at picking out one of the following fine writing instruments that won’t empty your bank account.
The Dragon Space Capsule just returned from a triumphant mission that ushers in a new age of space exploration. We now have private corporations venturing into space successfully, which is great seeing as publically funded space exploration has been put on hold for a few years. If you have a father that loves space, ships, astronauts and heavenly bodies, then the Fisher Bullet Space Pen is a great gift for this Father’s Day.
This pen can write anywhere anytime. You can write upside down, in freezing temperatures, in hot climates and it can even write on wet surfaces. Perfect for when you’re at the beach counting whales. All of this is possible with the use of a pressurized cartridge that pushes the ink out as you write (in any direction). Truly the stuff of astronauts.
Not only is this pen fully functional, but it has style to boot. The pen is made out of brass from tip to toe and has a stylish, matte black finish. Measuring just over 5 inches when open and just under 4 inches when closed, the pen fits well in a pocket but has the length for steady writing when needed. Its shape is all future, with sleek lines capturing the presence of spaceships and crafts of sci-fi movies throughout the ages.
Coming in at under $20 before shipping, this pen is out of this world. Go ahead and check out other Fisher Pen Gift Ideas as well.
Acme Beatles Pen and Acme Elvis Pen:
Maybe your old man is a lover of rock-and-roll. Real rock-and-roll, not that fuzzy, gargling tripe you youngsters listen to today on your independent stereo systems slung around your neck. I’m talking about songs written so well, they can entertain generations of fans on the radio day after day, year after year, decade after decade. I’m talking about bands like The Beatles and Elvis.
If these are the types of sounds you hear coming from the garage or your dad’s den, then you need to take a peek at the offerings that Acme has in their Beatles and Elvis collections. These pens from Acme were inspired by the explosive sounds of rock done right. These fine writing instruments capture the helter and skeltor that was music during a great era of rock-and-roll. Coming in at just under $100 dollars, there is a mix of great pens to choose from in these collections, of which one will surely please your dad.Maybe your old man is a lover of rock-and-roll. Smoking might be on the way out as a popular pastime for folks, but generations ago, smoking was as much a part of a day as eating. So we can blame our parents if they still enjoy a cigar once and a while to celebrate a special occasion or to just relax in the name of a lazy day. The Fisher Cigar Punch Ballpoint pen is a great novelty item that has just enough utility and just enough novelty to make it a perfect Father’s Day gift.
Besides being handy for your cigars, Fisher’s Punch is the most dependable pen on earth. It will write upside down, underwater, and in extreme temperatures. To use the punch, separate the pen body from the key ring portion and apply the open end of the cap to the center of your cigar. Apply light pressure while rotating the cigar slowly until you are sure you’ve fully penetrated the cigar cap; 1/16” is plenty of depth. Think of the Punch as slicing or gently sawing through the tobacco. Pushing too hard or holding the cigar with too much pressure can cause the cigar wrapper to unravel.
After punching the cigar, the cap will remain in the punch. Gently use the tip of the pen to flip the punched circle of tobacco into your ash tray. You’ll find it will work well this way even if the edge doesn’t feel very sharp. If the edge gets damaged or too dull, use the included stone to dress the edge by rotating the stone against the punch as if the stone were a cigar. Again, a light touch is all that is necessary.
Right now this pen is coming in at a little over $30. It’s a great way to say happy Fathers Day.

I have a friend who has complained every Father’s Day since he has had children that, “if it’s father’s day, how come I can’t sit around in my underwear, drink some beer, eat some hot wings and watch miscellaneous T.V. shows without being bothered? Why do I have to go on picnics with my family or take long excursions into the woods to go bird watching? If it’s Father’s Day, why don’t we get to do what Dad wants to do?”
Every year, I have to explain to him that without his children and his family, he would not be a father and therefore it is more than appropriate for him to spend time with them. After all, if the zoo doesn’t have any animals, it’s really just a piece of real estate with a bunch of holding pens. It doesn’t seem to make him feel any better.
I don’t really think my friend wants to spend Father’s day alone watching T.V., but it is funny how the cliché’s of the Father’s Day holiday is perpetuated. Dad’s around the world are supposed to wake up excited for ‘their’ day only to find out they have to spend 3 hours packing the car for a camping trip, 2 hours driving and another 2 hours at the site getting everything ready. At some point, they finally sit down at which point their kids break out his gift, which inevitably is a tie. By the time the kids are in bed, Dad’s so exhausted he just passes out by the fire, dreaming of a Lazyboy and reruns of Mork and Mindy.
This year, don’t perpetuate the false stereotypical Father’s Day. This year, go out of your way and find the perfect gift at Executive Essentials that will make your dad smile. Here are just a few suggestions from the extensive online pen catalog.
For the refined father with tastes that go back a few decades, you will do fine with the Aurora Optima Fountain Pen in Blue with Gold Trim. This pen resembles the historic pens of the 1930’s in both materials and details. The swirl, marbled cap and body flow into each other like clouds of color in the water at dusk. The 14K gold nib and gold band around the cap provide accents to break up the smooth finish. The jewel clip is also a point of interest and provides a bit of interest to catch the eye. The entire pen is hand made and attention to detail of the mainstay of Aurora craftsman. Find this and other Aurora pens at Executive Essentials.
For the father that likes his Rock and Roll aged, pure and from Great Britain, give him an Acme Beatles 1969 Limited Edition Rollerball Pen. There are many to choose from, but each is a compact time capsule that captures the excitement and thrill of one of the greatest rock bands of all time. This limited edition series is the only one to get the seal of approval from the Beatle’s estate. There are only 1,969 pens made in this series. Each has the serial number laser engraved on the mid-ring and each is packaged in a beautiful black wooden box. Give this to your father and I’m sure he’ll want to, ‘hold your hand.’
For the father who enjoys art and artists, there can be no better gift than the Visconti Rembrandt Rollergraphic Pen in Orange. This magnificent pen is in commemoration of Rembrandt van Rijn (that’s right, Rembrandt is his first name).Visconti has created this pen not only in commemoration of the great artist, but also the style of chiaroscuro – the use of effects representing contrasts of light to achieve a sense of volume in modeling three-dimensional objects such as the human body. With it’s swirling, layers, this bright orange pen has a depth and feel that is truly unique. A perfect gift for a deserving dad.
Father’s Day is coming up quick. Take some time to look at these pens as well as many others at Executive Essentials. And check back soon for more Father’s Day gift suggestions.
Pens are fun gifts for Father’s Day. Let’s just get that out of the way in case you had any doubt. Dad doesn’t need another tie or a mounted plastic fish that sings ‘Take Me To The River’ when you push a button. He doesn’t need items that will make his ‘chores’ any easier – because regardless of the help he receives, it’s still just a reminder that he has chores. What dad really wants is an item that is as unique and inspiring as he is and you have the chance to get him that from Executive Essentials.
Dad’ come in all shapes and sizes and no two are alike – although they may all have similar qualities. Some dads are quiet and introspective and some are loud and yell at the TV. Some dads can’t remember where they put their car keys and some are so organized the house looks like a museum. And then there are those dads that live in the past, while others seem to be leading the charge into the future. Make sure you get your dad something that reflects who he is.
Think is a company that makes Limited Edition Pen lines that suit a variety of tastes and a variety of dads. They have a plethora of lines that range from wacky and fun to sophisticated and unique. Here are just a few of the ideas we have to get you started on picking out the perfect pen for your father on his special day.
Bruce Lee was a master of the martial arts as well as a master entertainer. His pursuits in strength agility and feats of the mind are legendary. Let your dad know that you think he is just as cool with this ‘striking’ commemorative pen from Think. The Bruce Lee Limited Edition Fountain Pen has a jet black barrel with a vibrant red cap. The cap is banded in gold with Bruce Lee embossed in raised lettering. To top it all off, the piece is appointed with a golden dragon clip that brings to mind the many great movies Bruce starred in over his reign. Take a look at this amazing pen and see if it’s right for your father on his special day.
A lot of things happened in the 60’s and 70’s that your father probably doesn’t remember. But, that just means he had a good time. If your dad is the type that is still trying to give peace a chance and is reluctantly trudging into the great unknown that is tomorrow, then he might like the Think Hippie Limited Edition Fountain Pen. At first glance, this pen is nothing more than an homage to the drug culture of yesteryear with its unique hemp-colored matte Italian resin that pays homage to this subculture. But, it’s more than just a nod to the plant that defined those decades. It’s a tribute to a generation of radicals that shaped the laws and norms of the United States of America. As the band on the matte silver band declares, “Absof*ckinglutely.
Baseball, Baseball, Baseball! Need we say anymore? If your father is a baseball aficionado then the Think Major League Baseball Collection pens are just what you need to make your dad proud this Father’s day. Take him out to the ballgame with a pen that represents his favorite team. Each pen comes in the colors of the chosen team as well as a pattern to suit the uniforms. The clip of each pen details the team’s logo and/or mascot. Don’t pass up on this great opportunity to score major league points with dad!
For the science fiction and science fiction fathers we bring you the Think Nebula Fountain Pen in glowing lobster color. This marbled wonder models the brilliant colors contained in the gassy nebulas that float gently in outer space. As the final frontier, space embodies both the hopes and fears of mankind. It is a source of intellectual endeavors and spiritual contemplations. If your father is cut from the same fabric as the scientists that study the vast unknown, then this pen might be right for him.
These are just a few of the many great pens that would make your Dad smile this Father’s day. So go ahead and take a look around at the Executive Essentials catalog and see what you can find for him.
In Germany, Father’s Day, which they refer to as Vatertag, has a whole different type of style than here in the United States. Their Father’s Day celebration happens forty days after Easter on Ascension Day –which is a federal holiday and therefore a really good day to celebrate since everyone has off. But, their version of Father’s Day isn’t only about fathers, but about men –gentlemen to be specific.
They call the day Mannertag or gentlemen’s day. It’s a day where males, teenaged or older, gather together and go on a day long hike. With them, they bring several small wagons, Bollerwagen, which they all take turns pulling. The wagons are filled with the alcoholic beverages of choice as well as some favorite foods. They then spend the day walking the trails and countryside of their area drinking and eating. As you can imagine, these days don’t end well for many of the participants. But, tradition is tradition.
If you don’t feel like adopting a German Father’s Day tradition, mostly because you know dad is going to make you pull the wagon, you can still give him a German gift this Father’s Day with a Montblanc Pen. As a manufacturer of fine writing instruments, jewelry, leather goods and watches, Montblanc has much to offer in the way of Father’s Day gifts. Here are just a few examples of what you can find at Executive Essentials.

The pen that Montblanc has put together to commemorate this patron of the arts is limited to 4,810 pens. Each pen is Rhodium-plated engraved with Sforza’s coat of arms. The gleaming black lacquer is accented with silver inlays and the entire pen is modeled on the castle in which the Duke lived as evidenced by the cap top. As one package this pen is a masterpiece in craftsmanship, with subtle curves and bold lines.
On the barrel of the pen, you will find engraved, many of Einstein’s famous formulas include E=mc2. The barrel itself is made of platinum as well are the fittings. The cap is lacquered in a deep, dark, blue meant to capture the essence of an endless universe. A true pen for a fan of science fact.

Father’s Day, like Mother’s Day, is more about the entire weekend and not really just about one day. It starts on Friday and rolls through until the Sunday night. It’s about the concept of family, summer and summertime experiences that last well beyond that one special day of the year. It’s a time to gather with friends and relatives to commemorate that special guy in our lives that gave so much to make sure we had what we needed when we needed it. And the gift we present as part of that commemoration plays a big role in this special occasion.
Gift giving can be hard for many people and giving gifts on time, during the actual occasion is something that is becoming more and more infrequent.
